Starting point

I'm arriving in BKK 15.30, by the time I get through customs etc I think I will be at my hotel, the Sheraton, by around 6.30, now I've been to BKK & Koh Samui before, but this is my. 1st time in patts, can anyone recommend a good place to head for that's easy to get to from my hotel & how to get there ?

I'm planning on renting a scooter the following day together around during the day as I know my hotel is a bit off. The beaten track / far away from the nightlife.
