I understand after age 50 and with 800,000 baht in a Thai bank you can get a retirement visa. This is year by year and after so many years you can get it for longer term?
Does the 800,000 baht stay in bank while you stay in Thailand ?
Also,how do you get your retirement check (when you are eligible) and do you have to go back to the states to show you are alive, periodically?
