Pattaya Police Find Alien Workers After Stopping Fight

PATTAYA - June 19, 2013 [PDN]; At 03.00 AM, Police Captain Yongyut Whannua of Pattaya police station was informed that a group of Cambodian construction workers were having a fight at a construction workers camp in Pattaya Second Rd. After receiving the report, a team of police officers was dispatched to stop the fight.
When police arrived at the scene, the group of construction workers tried to escape the police, but the two Cambodians who started the fight were arrested. The two were later identified as 20 year-old Mr. Nok and 40 year-old Mr. Nang, it was reported that they father and son. After seeing the workers escape the police, the police ordered to check all workers on the site or camp to see whether they’re working legally or not.
After thoroughly investigating, it was known that the Cambodian workers had paid foremen in their country to bring to work in Thailand. The group of Cambodians that were working illegally have been arrested and will be sent back to their country. As for the foremen, police will try track them down.
