Taking your time to pick the "right" girl

Hi guys,

hope you can give some advice on this one.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to finding a girl to take home for the night, and sometimes even find myself going home alone because I didn't find anyone I "click" with. I like to take my time, look around and see what's out there. The gogo bars are the perfect place to do this, but once in a while you have bad luck and get one or two (or more) girls that immediately start hassling you for drinks and simply won't take no for an answer. I can recall at least two occasions it's been so bad I felt I had no other option than to take my business elsewhere. The times they do end up taking a polite but firm "no" for an answer it leaves me feeling uneasy staying at the place, because you've already come across as a cheap charlie when all you want to do is check what's available before you make your pick. Let me be clear - when I do find a girl that I like I don't hesitate to buy her drinks, and maybe even her friend or mamasan if I get a good vibe.

Another scenario on the same subject is Soi 6. I generally like Soi 6, there are many great bars and friendly girls not to mention the bang for the buck is way better than in the gogos. However I find it just a little too stressful sometimes to scan the lineup for the really attractive ones while at the same time being pulled by the arms in all directions by the not so attractive ones. The hot ones tend to stay in the background and only if you're lucky can you get a glimpse of them before you have walked past the place.

Ok so maybe it's just me, or can any of you guys relate to what I'm talking about? What are your best techniques for handling the "double teamed drink hassling scheme" in the gogos and the "gauntlet run" that is Soi 6?
