Well I started to type some of this TR as I sat on the 2-hour flight back home last Saturday night, only just finished the first part today. Hard to believe it's been just a week since I left Pattaya. It all seems so far away.
First a few bits about me. I'm 36, married and the wife travels with me on these trips to Pattaya. Most of our days are spent doing rather touristy things, so a lot of the TR is about those things or where we eat. I realise this type of TR isn't really for everyone, I really apologise for wasting your time if this is not your cup of tea. But that's what I do in Pattaya - I do things I can't or don't like to do at home, i.e. relax during the day, eat out, watch movies, have massages and check out topless or naked (hopefully) Thai girls at night.
I mostly head off to bars and gogos sometime after 11pm while she stays in the room watching TV or sleeping. And that's what I tell the ladies when they ask the almost inevitable "you come alone?" question. I guess a few of them think that I'm bullshitting them and that I'm just not keen on barfining them but turns out it's the truth.
I'm a very quiet guy. I'm pretty happy just sitting in a bar, having a drink and watching the world around me. I'm not very smiley. I'm the guy that the gogo girls will sometimes wave to and ask to smile. That makes me smile for about 10 seconds but then I'm back to my usual blank/frowny face.
Home is Singapore where I have lived for the last 15 years. I've been on PA for a little over a year, found it while I was planning my 2nd trip to Pattaya in June 2012. This trip was my 6th. No need to feel jealous, my trips have all been fairly short, my longest stay in Pattaya was for 8 nights in February and again on this trip. I had taken some notes during the trip in February intending to write a TR but never really got around to it.
This trip was meant to be a little test, mostly because I felt like shit getting back to work after my long trip to Pattaya, Koh Kood and Bangkok in February. So I figured I'd work on some mornings just to stay somewhat connected to it all and hopefully, leaving Pattaya/Thailand would not feel so bad this time. I also wanted to see how it would feel like having to work while in Thailand. I can work from anywhere with a decent Internet connection so I could in theory work from Pattaya and stay for longer periods. Problem is the wife can't do the same so it remains a dream.
It's my first TR, encouraging comments and constructive criticism are most welcome. I'm a (not very good) lover, not a fighter, please no rude comments.
Before I post Day 1, a few random pics from my February trip.
