Having 2 posts to my name here, it might seem strange that I would be giving advice to newbs, but I have mainly kept my activities on other forums but a fellow monger that I respect a lot recommended this site to me. So here is my best advice to newbs…:
Where to stay on your first trip:
Stay near Beach Road (aka BR or CB) and Walking Street (WS). Take notice that I do not write BR or WS but BR and WS. When you are new you want to be close to the action. Staying to close to WS will mean no sleep before the very early hours because of noise though. Soi 13 or 10 has good places to start out at.
Getting Girls at the right prices:
The right price is sort of a competition among mongers. On BR the freelancers work. Here it is all about bargaining. 500 bt for short time is a good deal. I might get slammed for saying this but if you really like the girl and agree to like 700 bt don’t worry. My point is you should not ridiculously overpay but don’t feel bad about not being able to compete with the guys who always get their pussy for 500 bt.
At WS the GoGo’s are not really a place for major bargaining unless you are there in low season or have a specific angle. You can pretty much find the going prices for taking girls out of a GoGo by Google’ing the GoGo’s name…
Getting the service you desire:
Here is the important advice it think. Always ask in advance if the girl will do what you desire her to do. If you want her to BBBJ you ask her if she smokes with no condom. For BR girls you just have to take her at her word and kick her out if she lied. At GoGo’s I often try to confirm the services with the mamasan (manager) of the establishment and tip her. If you have an agreement with the mamasan you can either get your money back or most girls will know that they can’t trick you because you are “friends” with the manager.
Other advice:
Remember Thailand is not the west (Europe/USA). The people there do not respond well to arguing or angry faces. Smile and be polite and understanding. Staff, waiters, girls, makes mistakes and might forget things that you have told them 10 times. In Europe/USA you would scold someone for this. In Thailand you just ask for the 11th time and smile.
