I thought I knew the answer to this one but Bangkok Bank threw me a curve ball 2 weeks ago. I have normally gone the income route on applying for my retirement extension, but I had some spare money and went into Bangkok Bank Jomtien to put a million baht in a separate account in order to leave it there for when I next apply for my extension next July. They told me that I was best to put it in a one year fixed account. When I asked about eligibility for retirement extension letter, they (2 ladies) both told me that Immigration didn't mind that the account was fixed term, but just wanted to be satisfied that I had funds. So, convinced that they knew what they were talking about, I deposited a million in their one year fixed account and got a new passbook. On reflection now, I'm not sure that this will be OK, and don't want to wait till next July to find that they are wrong, and have to make alternative arrangements, and also lose interest by having to withdraw from this new account prematurely. I think I know what the Immigration rules are, and I think I know that if I go into Immigration to ask, they will tell me that a fixed account is not eligible and the money has to be instantly available.
What I really want to know is if any member on this forum has had experience with applying for a retirement extension with money in a fixed term account, and if successful or not. My feelings right now are that I should go back to the bank and transfer the money back into a regular savings account.

I am wondering do you guys think over time with women in our own Countries will eventually change their mentalities on how they treat their man being that more and more men realizing that the only thing they are getting in any relationship is Sex and even then they don't give that up that much anymore without complaining?
The biggest thing women say is oh you have to pay for sex that's pathetic, and they revert to I'm not a hooker....However the more I think about it, they are hookers, money isn't exchanged in the traditional sense but we are paying for the house, the cars, the food, and most of the outings, alimony, child support, divorce settlements and sometimes if we are lucky we get a little nooky but even then it is complaints about oh not to hard, oh don't touch it like that oh I don't like this, or oh I don't like that, so it really isn't that much fun anyway.
Just curious what your thoughts are and if it will ever change to where they realize that without the pussy they have nothing to hold over our heads?
Well, the hard part is over.
After a trip that took about 36 hours of travel with 5-10 minutes of sleep here and there, I arrived in Pattaya late last night, and even though all logic pointed toward getting a good nights sleep, I couldnt help but venture out around 1am to see if I could christen my arrival.
What a disaster.
First, and this has always been a problem for me, the combination of anxiety and humidity does TERRIBLE things to my sweat glands. I walked for maybe 5-10 minutes and hit a bar where a lovely lady was sitting out front. That's where issue #2 cropped up.
Hot girl, alone, after 1am....and I couldn't process the simplest of things that she was presenting herself as a p4p prospect. Instead, it was awkward chit-chat, I have no Thai language skills AT ALL, and then I just started sweating like a madman. Dripping from my nose and earlobes like a maniac. We chatted for a bit, but when I begin sweating like that in front of people, especially a girl Id like to hook up with, the anxiety kicks in and the sweat gland floodgates opened. She even made mention of it and was trying to hand me napkins. It only made me feel more like a sideshow freak and I cant even fake that there is anything else on my mind besides my own embarrassment. I then awkwardly said I was going inside the bar for a bit and however I handled it I could tell the girl was put off by me. Not a very good start, AT ALL. I walked back to my room as it began to drizzle and not 15 minutes after leaving the bar and in my room, it began to pour down rain. All I could think is how that girl should be in the room with me, instead I feel embarrassed, going to bed empty-handed and she is stuck in the rain going home empty-handed rather than the two of us fucking.
I hope I paint a picture that derives a chuckle from any readers of this. That's fine. I can't help my shitty genetics. Ive always been that way.
I guess the best idea is to hit up a ST bar on Soi 6, where there's no doubt why I'm there and the girl is there. Maybe it will put my mind to ease.
Questions from this: 1) it would be idiotic for me to assume a girl IS NOT down for p4p in situations like I described above right? Dressed hot, sitting alone on the outside patio of the bar, 1am....my default logic should be she is down for whatever right? I guess I am still thinking of home where in that scenario either she's not down or I get shot down when chatting her up.
2) what in god's name can I do about sweating my balls off? Im hoping the anxiety will subside a bit and I can get a bit acclimated to the weather. The humidity was 100% during that debacle...Im guessing its going to be like that more often than not...I think I need to (at first anyway) go find girls in AC environments. Any suggestions? Im on the Soi Boukao side of LK Metro if that helps.
3) anyone interested in being a charitable wing man for a day or two? If I have another experience like last night, its not going to help the anxiety issues. Send me a PM if you are in town.
