I keep hearing very conflicting reports about this topic. I have a bunch of friends who have been in AC for a long time, in some cases 8 years, and only ever go with freelancers. They would never barfine (they're cheap charlies!) and they would laugh at my "paranoia" if I even ask them about it.
Yet there are a bunch of warnings here about the FL calling cops to your hotel, planting drugs or claiming to be under age, and extorting 200,000 PHP - especially in the last couple of days there were 3 separate threads about it. But I think a poll would be more representative than a debate!
